Pensions Administrator

An exciting in-house opportunity has arisen at Thomsons Online Benefits for an enthusiastic and talented administrator to join our fast growing pensions team.
The thomsons online benefits pensions team provide Group Personal Pensions and stakeholder pension plan design and provider selection services for our corporate clients, together with consulting on existing pension scheme wind-ups and pension transfers along with the associated administration. The team also provide individual advice to high net worth individuals.
Working for the Head of Benefits Consulting, you will work within our pensions team primarily supporting the processing and administration of pension transfers and occupational pension wind-ups. You will be responsible for the efficient, timely and compliant processing of enquiries and you will also be responsible for recording and communicating the progress of that administration.
Your role will include client mailings, compliant filing, logging all enquiries and dealing with basic enquiries from employees, and ensuring appropriate follow up and resolution.
Depending on the client requirements your role on the project will typically be one of 4 streams of activity happening on each client and you will also work closely with the Senior Consultant in the Pensions Team in relation to reporting on your part of the project.
You will have the opportunity to learn about our whole employee benefits consulting function and our market leading approach to employee benefit administration. In due course you may have the opportunity to take responsibility for studying for CFP exams and learning about key aspects of our market leading pensions consultancy delivered to our clients.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have GCSE passes A-C in Maths and English with ideally some experience in either in a pension consultancy, or in the insurance industry dealing with administration.
You will be a self starter seeking to advance your pensions career.
