Thomsons Online Benefits helps Micro Focus to launch flexible benefits for employees
Micro Focus, a leader in enterprise application management and modernisation solutions, has implemented a flexible benefits programme for its 190 UK based employees in conjunction with Thomsons Online Benefits.
A member of the FTSE 250, Micro Focus provides innovative software that allows companies to dramatically improve the business value of their enterprise applications.
Micro Focus already had a range of benefits in place but wanted to engage employees further by providing increased levels of choice and value. Thomsons Online Benefits was chosen because of their innovative approach in combining consultancy, technology and communications. Employees will be able to login to their fully branded and personalised reward statement online where they can view their total pay, change benefit levels and even purchase new benefits.
Paul Rodgers, Group HR Director of Micro Focus comments: “We already had an attractive mix of benefits in place but wanted to allow employees further benefits, including the choice of salary exchange.”
The scheme was communicated to employees through a new bespoke brand called “Focus on Choice” created with the following collateral:
• Posters to evoke interest;
• Email campaigns before launch, at launch and after launch;
• Launch presentations;
• One to one presentations to employees.
Flexible benefits made available to employees include:
• Buying and selling holiday;
• Life assurance;
• Pension scheme;
• Private medical insurance;
• Dental insurance;
• Critical illness cover;
• Health screening.
Other benefits being communicated to employees include:
• Income protection;
• Cycle to work;
• Childcare vouchers.
