The Brotherhood are a band of men who have all achieved something extra-ordinary in his chosen sporting career.
Dragon boat across the channel?
Last year they found a Dragon Boat and their first adventure was participating in the Great River Race where they paddled 22 miles down the Thames, sucessfully beating the GB Masters team. This year they are returning to dragon boat across the channel! However, not content with that being a challenge in itself, they are also racing a team of well trained and highly determined girls who seem to be in the papers every day. Let the battle begin…
Four months of hard training, from rainy evenings on the Thames through to rough seas on practice runs to the Isle of Wight. However the training is done, the time is now and the Brotherhood are all fully prepared for what is likely to be the toughest endurance test of their lives.
As the Brotherhood and Sisterhood set off at 12 noon on Saturday on to the open sea, it is necessary to remember why they are doing this - The Chase Ben Hollioake Hospice and the Babes in Arms Appeal. The Brotherhood are determined to help to make sure that their efforts go a long way to help make these children's lives as full as their own.
