Training Associate

Job Type: Permanent

Commencing: As soon as possible

Location: Central London (Victoria SW1)

Reporting to: Training Manager

Hours of work: 9am - 5.30pm (flexibility required)

Renumeration

Salary: £20-25K dependant on experience

Experience

Degree level or equivalent education.  Proven relevant work experience in a training related environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate

Skills

 IT literate with good Microsoft Office skills (excel, word, PowerPoint) and an ability to learn new software packages. Excellent communication and listening skills are required as is the ability to write clearly and concisely and to produce work of a consistently high standard. With a keen interest in learning, they will always seek to improve their own skills as well as those of others. 

Personality

An energetic and enthusiastic person who is happy to work both a team player but is also self-motivated and able to use their initiative. They should display a “can do” attitude and want to contribute to the growth of the training department.  A sense of humour and good social skills will go a long way. The right person will be reliable and good at time keeping

Duties

This is a new role which will encompass a wide range of tasks and exposure to the area of training and development. Typical duties will include the following:

• Training both clients and internal employees on the Perquisite® technology
• Developing and updating training materials to support training
• Delivering training on updates both face to face and using an online conferencing facility
• Learn how to use the Perquisite® technology and keep knowledge current.
• Writing systems testing
• Deliver adhoc training and coaching on Microsoft packages and other support software and developing training materials to support this.
• Assist in the organisation of internal training liaising with external training providers, benefit providers and internal subject experts.
• Assisting in the organisation of induction plans and materials for new employees
• Assist in the delivery of the induction programme
• Reviewing training and development plans and planning subsequent training
• Gather and analyse feedback from training events
• Organise the booking of external training courses and exam qualifications and organise records.
• Assisting in the development of personal development programme and associated materials
• Helping to plan and organised the Company's Annual Conference
• Actively contribute to the growth of the training and development function at thomsons online benefits by looking for training opportunities.
