Although salary sacrifice is not a new idea it has grown in popularity in recent years as more and more employers realise the tax and national insurance savings that they can generate. In fact our research¹ indicates that the majority of UK companies who have employee benefits (59.0 per cent) have implemented salary sacrifice, which represents an almost 20 per cent increase since 2006.
