CIPD shifts conference location The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) is to move its annual conference from Harrogate to Manchester following consultation with delegates.
A report in Personnel Today also states the conference date will be moved from September to November to avoid clashing with the school half-term.
It will be held in the Manchester Central Convention Complex which was recently re-branded to encompass the Manchester Convention Centre and GMEX.
Nina Harman, CIPD head of conferences and exhibitions, said: "We've made this change on the basis of extensive research among the conference delegates and exhibition visitors who make the event such a success year after year."
Ms Harman added that Manchester has excellent transport links for both domestic and international visitors as well as a wide range of accommodation.
The revised exhibition dates are scheduled to be November 17th to 19th. Fru Hazlitt, managing director of GCap Media, is due to deliver a masterclass aimed at HR professionals.
