Grant Thornton holds health and well being week
Accounting firm Grant Thornton has rolled out a staff wellbeing across all 30 of its UK offices.

In an attempt to raise awareness of health issues for all employees, several activities were organised, including exercise classes, nutrition lessons and health advice.

Various workshops also took place regarding back and joint care as well as health checks on blood pressure and cholesterol.

Margaret Bowler, head of corporate responsibility at Grant Thornton, said: "We launched the Well Being at Work week to inform and educate employees about their health."

She added that employees who suffer from stress, depression and anxiety work less effectively and are prone to sleep problems, tiredness, pessimism and reduced concentration.

An image consultant was also brought in with a view to helping employees look and feel good about themselves.

It was recently reported in magazine Employee Benefits, that employees at Asda have also been provided with health and fitness advice as part of a three-week health drive.
