Pindar staff to vote on strike Workers at a printing firm in Scarborough are being balloted over industrial action following a dispute over pay and employee reward.
Staff at Pindar are unhappy after their bosses reportedly refused to back date the pay award which was given last year.
Mark Fieldhouse, the branch secretary of union Unite, said: "We are holding a ballot for industrial action, arrangements for which are still being made."
Andrew Dalton, the chief executive of Pindar denied there is a major problem: "The current situation is that only 150 Scarborough-based employees out of all Pindar employees rejected the pay deal following a ballot. All other employees have accepted the performance-based pay rise."
There has already been one ballot at the firm, in which workers rejected the pay deal which was offered to them.
It is reportedly the first time in the history of Pindar that workers have considered strike action.
Pindar was established in 1836 and employs nearly 2,500 people across the world.
