Salaries in London '£11k higher than elsewhere' London salaries are nearly £11,000 higher than the rest of Britain, research published on Personneltoday.com revealed.
Addressing over 555,000 job advertisements published over the last six months, employment search engine AllTheTopBananas.com collated the results to find averages for 11 regions of the UK.
It was found that the average wage in London was £41,079 whereas the rest of the UK held the mean wage of £30,450.
The next-best regional salary after London was in East Anglia, where it was found to be £32,551, while the lowest advertised wage was in the north-west with £28,641.
Speaking to the human resources news resource, managing director of AllTheTopBananas.com Dave Martin said the survey had noticed a "growing gap between advertised London salaries and the rest of the country".
He added: "We continue to forecast rises in average salaries, and a growing gap between London salaries and those in the rest of the UK."
Earlier this month, Boris Johnson implemented changes to the London Living Wage for Greater London Authority workers, increasing it to £7.45 from £7.20 per hour.
